Set in 15 acres of Highland hillside, our six lodges are individually designed to sit naturally into the landscape — four elevated for uninterrupted sea views to the Isles of Eigg and Rum and across to the Cuillin of Skye.  Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Beautiful warm lodges ideally situated between Mallaig and Arisaig. Darren was so helpful in the run up to the weekend helping with contact details to plan for our celebration.
We arrived in a storm and the storm stayed all weekend so we used a lot more wood than we had expected. If you’re coming in the shoulder seasons it’s worth coming prepared for this and brushing up on firefighting skills.
The hot tub was fab and we enjoyed it very much, but it took some effort to get it going and needed regular attention from us to maintain - guests should plan for that too if the hot tub is a must have. I hope to return soon. Top tip - we got a fabulous seafood take away box from the Fish Market in Mallaig. Well worth it for our celebration dinner.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We have been truly spoilt in the past by holidaying in the owners holiday home just around the corner for over 10 years. The lodge is beautiful very similar decor to the house, fantastic view - however a couple of things I couldn’t find a cafeteria in the lodge and the hot tub was quite disappointing, firstly it takes hours of maintenance making sure wood is added at certain times. The first attempt was over 4hrs and was only just warm enough, then on the second attempt it took over 3hrs and then it wasn’t particularly hot. The cost for those 40 mins of bathing was over £35 in wood. So we only used it twice in our stay because it was going to be an expensive business. Bring toilet roll because only four rolls were available for four of us for a week. But saying that, you are holidaying in a most stunning part of the country, the site is very peaceful with visits from the stag at times.

Our second time staying at Cairn Lodges, we previously stayed at Ceithir Raithean 4 years ago when we got married at Camusdarach beach, when we seen they had opened pine lodge we decided to book for our anniversary, the lodge was absolutely amazing, by far the most beautiful lodge we have ever stayed, the lodge is finished to such a high standard, we didn’t honestly want to leave, so peaceful with stunning views, we all had a fantastic time and loved our stay at Pine lodge, we would highly recommend it to anyone, Darren was always very helpful if ever contacting, it was a 5 star stay for sure!

My goodness it was a beautiful property that you can see a lot of attention to detail had been paid. The location is fantastic for exploring the beautiful local area and beyond.

The lodge boasts some spectacular views and it’s  a perfect place to relax and recharge. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more - can’t wait to go back!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to Cairn Lodges and the whole team for our amazing stay at Rum Lodge from the 18th–22nd August. It was such a special family holiday, and we were honestly blown away by everything. The lodge itself was beautiful and had everything we could possibly need, and the location was just perfect from the stunning views right outside the door to the lovely walks nearby and what has to be the best beach we’ve ever seen.

It really felt like we had stumbled across a hidden gem. There’s something so peaceful and unique about the setting it never felt crowded or busy, just calm and unspoiled, which made our time there even more special.

It truly was an unforgettable trip for us as a family, and we’re so grateful for the care and thought that clearly goes into making the lodges so welcoming. Thank you again for giving us such a memorable experience we’re already looking forward to coming back!
